From blacksmith's shop to global brand – over 100 years of FREUND
The FREUND success story began in the 19th century in Wuppertal – with a blacksmith's shop owned by the Freund family. In 1920, the business moved to Paderborn, where it initially manufactured cutlery for butchers. In 1928, Walter Freund's locksmith's shop was officially registered – the starting signal for a company that today sets global standards in meat processing.
